Bertoia Bird Chair Reel The Bird Chair by Harry Bertoia, produced by Knoll (1952). Much like Bertoia’s other chairs, this has a wire basket used to create a seat and thicker steel rod for the base. Due to higher production costs, the bird chair is seen less often than others such as the diamond chair. This also uses rubber shock mounts to create flexibility and add to the chair’s comfort.
