Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action! Back again on one of the bottlenecks of the West Coast Mainline, Crewe of course. On this day, it had been full of surprises! The main purpose of this trip was to see the Intercity Charter set who were doing temporary charter services from Crewe to London then back to Manchester on Fridays to give passengers the luxury experience of classic First Class along with covering some WCML services while Avanti were dealing with Strike action. Meanwhile, I had also achieved my first sighting of the brand new 197’s for TfW and 730’s WMT on test runs and even without thought possible the GBRF Class 50’s who were passing through with the coaching stock that was used the next day on a GBRF Staff tour from Warrington to Paignton. Anyways, apart from the show stealers, there was the standard Intercity & commuter services along with the odd freight movement. Hope you all enjoy this!
