Walsall Police Station, Closing Open Day, Sunday 09 October 2016

Walsall Police held a Closing but Open Day at the police station. People were invited to take a look around inside the #police station that was and view some classic police cars outside.

The current #Mayor of Walsall, Kathleen Phillips helped to lower the police flag for the very last time, where the closing ceremony had taken place outside. #Walsall Police will now be based at the Walsall Civic and Bloxwich Police Station.

Si, Rach along with our #mascots Skank, Harold and Miss Longfellow went along to check it out.

There were a few arresting developments, Creature Beastie 'Miss Longfellow' had found herself within the long arm of the law and had to spend the night in the cells for claiming she was pregnant and needing the toilet, don't ask but it involved a police officer.
She sneaked in her Ipod and listened to tracks such as The Clash - 'I fought the Law, and the law won', I'll be watching you by the Police, the music theme to Bad Boys and various other tracks with a police theme.

Meanwhile Skank and Harold were playing cops and robbers, with Harold wearing a 'Blue Watch' to keep an eye on the time.
Kathleen the Mayor noticed Skank, one of her best buddies and invited him for a photo shoot, basically if he didn't she threatened to ask her police buddy to place him in handcuffs. There was no need because Skank who gets his name from skanking people, skanked Harold.

So Harold posed for a few pictures of his own.
Overall it was a very good turn out, an enjoyable day for adults and children alike so it wasn't such a cop out after all.
