Report Launch - Salmon Swimming Upstream: Charting a Course in Cislunar Space

The Moon has captured the imagination of humankind since the Apollo missions. Now, cislunar space, roughly the area between geosynchronous Earth orbit and the Moon, is coming to the fore as nations, including the United States, are expected to increase missions to the Moon over the next 10 years. The technical and policy challenges, however, are many and warrant scrutiny from the United States and its allies to maximize mission success.

Exploring these challenges and the oft-heard “new Moon race,” the CSIS Aerospace Security Project recently released a report entitled “Salmon Swimming Upstream: Charting a Course in Cislunar Space.”
