To add a capture card to OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) using the "Video Capture Device" source type, follow these steps:

Step 1: Connect Your Capture Card
Connect the Capture Card:

Ensure your capture card is connected to your PC via USB, PCIe, or any other interface it uses.
Connect the video output from your gaming console, camera, or other video source to the input of the capture card.
Install Necessary Drivers:

Resolution: Choose the resolution that your capture card supports (e.g., 1920x1080).

FPS: Select the frame rate that your capture card supports (e.g., 30 or 60 FPS).

Video Format: Select the video format your capture card uses (usually "MJPEG" or "YUY2").
Audio: If your capture card supports audio capture, you can choose to capture audio from the device as well.
Configure Additional Settings:

Adjust any additional settings specific to your capture card, such as deinterlacing options or buffering.
Click “OK” to add the capture card to your scene.

Step 7: Adjust the Capture Card Source
Resize and Position:
After adding the capture card source, you can resize and reposition it within the scene by clicking and dragging the source in the preview window.
Use the corner handles to resize the capture card display while maintaining the aspect ratio.

Step 8: Apply Filters (Optional)
Right-Click the Capture Card Source:

If you want to apply additional effects, right-click the capture card source in the "Sources" panel and select "Filters".
Add Filters:

Add filters like "Color Correction" to adjust brightness, contrast, and color, or "Crop/Pad" to crop the video.
Step 9: Save and Test
Save Your Scene:

Make sure to save your scene configuration.
Test Your Stream or Recording:

Start a test stream or recording to ensure the capture card is working correctly and displaying the video feed as expected.
