Asset Integrity and Inspection Assurance: Innovation and Industry Challenges

Maintaining, inspecting and assuring the integrity of assets is a global challenge for Engineers in the Process Industries. The challenges of increasing demand on asset utilisation, ageing assets and assets operating beyond their design life, reduced maintenance and inspection budgets and deferred maintenance turnarounds (from the global Covid-19 pandemic) has made this task even more challenging over the last 12 months .

However emerging technologies, data analytics and digitization of asset integrity, is providing operators with new opportunities to reduce the overall impact of asset integrity, whilst maintaining a high level of assurance and their license to operate.
