"I remember when I started in 2015, I was very nervous on camera. So it was much more sort of preparation just for the structure. It depends on who the person is, what kind of topic, and what kind of world they're coming from. Once the person is confirmed it means that they need to have something interesting to share. That's very important. I tell them that when they come on YANA TV, they should think about it as a conversational TED talk because the final recording is only 20 minutes. It's important to meet before and just have this  feeling about who we are as people  and connect on a human level. I actually don't give people prepared questions. Because I want their natural reaction on camera. That's why sometimes people cry or get emotional or share something they didn't think they would have. So our preparation is more storyline. What are the important messages you want to share? Tell me about your life. What are the key points, which would be interesting? And I always tell them, it is not about you. It is about the audience. If you share your lesson, you have to make it relevant to them." - Yana Fry
