Clip and Grow Jade Bonsai Tree - crassula ovata - 1 Growing Season Progression

root work, trunk chop and branch selection on my 3 year old jade bonsai. this year happened quite a lot to my smallest companion on the bench. i captured its progression in a short video.

three years ago i grew this plant from a single leafe. i pruned the roots once before. because it has grown quite a lot last year, i decided to do a trunk chop to develop taper and movement for its future canopy. until now everything goes according to plan. i can't wait to see the trunk thickening up and to refine the overall structure. it will be a lot of fun repotting it next year too.
