Most Convenient Hotel to Seoul Station | Four Points by Sheraton Seoul Josun

Описание к видео Most Convenient Hotel to Seoul Station | Four Points by Sheraton Seoul Josun

Greetings! This is a review of the Four Points Hotel located next to Seoul Station in South Korea. The hotel is connected with the station via an underground walkway that leads to the subway line. Walking between the hotel and Seoul station takes about 15 minutes and you don't need to go outdoor the whole way so that bad weather wouldn't affect you. Despite a middle-end hotel that's nowhere near luxurious, this Four Points Hotel has solid facilities and good services. I have also been impressed by the breakfast buffet which has a good variety of food. Please join me in having a brief tour of the hotel.

About Seoul Station:

Seoul Station, a bustling transportation nexus situated in the heart of South Korea's capital, serves as a vibrant gateway to the dynamic cityscape of Seoul. Established in 1900, the station has evolved from a modest terminal into a bustling transportation hub that seamlessly connects various regions of the country through an intricate network of railways and subways. Symbolizing the convergence of tradition and modernity, Seoul Station not only stands as a crucial transportation hub but also as a multifaceted cultural and commercial center.

The architecture of Seoul Station is a testament to the city's rich history and the transformative journey of South Korea. The station's original building, constructed during the Japanese colonial period, exudes a classic European architectural style, reflecting the influences of the time. Over the years, the station has undergone expansions and renovations, resulting in a modern terminal that harmoniously integrates with the city's contemporary skyline.

As a major railway hub, Seoul Station serves as a vital link in the extensive KTX (Korea Train eXpress) high-speed rail network, connecting Seoul to key cities like Busan, Incheon, and Gwangju in a matter of hours. The station's strategic location also makes it a central point for various subway lines, facilitating efficient travel within Seoul and its surrounding areas.

Beyond its transportation role, Seoul Station has emerged as a cultural and commercial destination in its own right. The station complex houses a diverse array of facilities, including shopping centers, restaurants, and cultural spaces. The iconic Seoullo 7017, a pedestrian overpass built on a former highway, connects Seoul Station to the Namdaemun Market area, offering a scenic walkway adorned with gardens, artwork, and panoramic views of the city.

The station's surroundings are a vibrant tapestry of urban life. From the historic Namdaemun Gate, one of the Eight Gates of Seoul, to the modern architecture of the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, the area encapsulates Seoul's evolution over centuries. The nearby Myeongdong district adds a layer of cosmopolitan flair with its shopping streets, international cuisine, and lively atmosphere, making Seoul Station a central point for both transportation and exploration.

The cultural significance of Seoul Station extends to the Korean cinema scene. The station served as the backdrop for the critically acclaimed animated film "Seoul Station," directed by Yeon Sang-ho. This gripping portrayal of a zombie apocalypse unfolds against the backdrop of the station and its surroundings, showcasing Seoul Station's symbolic role in the city's narrative.

Seoul Station is not merely a transient space for commuters but a vibrant node where diverse facets of Korean life converge. Its seamless integration of transportation, commerce, and culture captures the essence of Seoul's dynamic spirit. Whether it's the rush of commuters navigating their daily routines or travelers embarking on journeys to explore the rich landscapes of South Korea, Seoul Station remains a pulsating hub that encapsulates the energy and vibrancy of this modern metropolis.
