Описание к видео Arkansas Week: Flood Recovery in Hardy, Damage to Agriculture

The northeast Arkansas city of Hardy saw extensive destruction from flooding along the Spring River during storms earlier this month. Mayor Ethan Barnes talked with host Dawn Scott about the slow recovery process, and shared dramatic stories about the city's evacuation and rescue efforts as the water was rising, which were largely credited for no deaths being reported. University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture economist Hunter Biram joined the conversation to discuss agricultural flood damage, with an initial report putting the losses at $78.9 million. Then in the final segment of the program, Dr. Stephen Addison, dean of the University of Central Arkansas College of Science and Engineering, discusses UCA's growing cybersecurity program.
