Slow stitch spring bloom for Roxy’s journal of Stitchery

Our Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery Field Notes prompt for this two weeks is Spring bloom or Spring blossom.

I’ve chose the blossom of the China Flat Peach or Peche Plate for this slow stitch or slow stitching piece.

In this video I explain how I design and print my own fabric and then I share a tutorial of how you can choose and collage different fabrics for a slow stitch border, and then add embellishment on the form of vintage laces, embroidered pieces, ribbons, collars and beaded pieces.

In the next video I will share a tutorial of how to add stitched detail while anchoring your pieces of fabric into a cohesive whole.
