A rare and powerful sight on one of Europe’s most demanding freight routes. This video captures Budamar Group Vectron 383.301 working in multiple with Metrans 383.444 at Kozina, close to the summit of the legendary Koper Ramp in Slovenia.

The train is seen battling the steep gradients on a northbound intermodal service for Hodoš and onward into Central and Eastern Europe, demonstrating why double-heading/Banking is often required on the Divača–Koper line. This route is a critical freight artery linking the Port of Koper with the European hinterland and regularly hosts some of the heaviest container trains in the region.

Featuring dramatic scenery, sustained climbing and modern Siemens Vectron traction, this video offers a clear insight into contemporary European rail freight operations on a classic mountain railway.
