Immanuel Quickley - Phenomenal Floater/Sneaky Scorer

Описание к видео Immanuel Quickley - Phenomenal Floater/Sneaky Scorer

It did not take long before IQ was getting nicknamed “float goat” because of his all-time touch on his floaters. Whether regular, off of two, same/off foot, extra arc, or through contact, IQ came into the league with an elite floater bag. Immanuel has stated that Lou Williams was one of his favorite players and you can shades of that in the young bucket getter’s game. He also seems as fearless as they come.

Quickley & Desmond Bane are the only players who were on the NBA All-Rookie team (they were both second team selections) that actually made the playoffs (Bane with the 8th seeded Grizzlies and IQ and the Knicks were a 4 seed)

This is a video meant to showcase Quickley’s terrific touch on his floaters but also meant to highlight some of the other things he was able to do from a scoring standpoint. Per Cleaning the Glass, of the 582 shot Quickley attempted, 50% of them were from deep (281 FGAs), 42% were from midrange (225 FGAs), and only 8% were at the rim (39 FGAs). His conversion rate, however, showed that he was best at the rim - 56%, then from deep - 39%, and his was least efficient on his midrange jumpers - 37%.

As of December 6th, IQ’s 2021/22 shot frequency chart looks like this: 57% of his 186 attempts so far have been from deep (105 FGAs), 15% at the rim (25 FGAs), and only 28% from midrange (45 FGAs) - so while the shots haven’t exactly been falling, he’s cleaned his shot diet up a little from his rookie year.
