If you’re a graduate of an Australian university, you may be eligible for a Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa. This visa lets you stay in Australia to work or study after you finish your studies.

There are 2 streams for this visa:

The Graduate Work stream is for international students who graduate with skills and qualifications that match Australian professional, managerial and technical workforces.

The Post-Study Work stream is for international students who graduate with an Australian degree, diploma or higher education qualification.

To apply for this visa, you must:

meet the English language requirements

have recently graduated from an Australian educational institution

have completed at least 2 years of study in Australia

have skills and qualifications that match Australian professional, managerial and technical workforces (for the Graduate Work stream only)

meet the health and character requirements.
