Muğla ili Datça ilçesi sınırlarında bulunan eski Datça, merkeze yaklaşık 3 km mesafede bulunmaktadır. Eski Datça da kesme taşlardan yapılmış, begonviller ve sarmaşıklarla süslü bahçeli evler dikkat çekmektedir. Arnavut kaldırımlı taş sokaklarda gezerken kendinizi zaman tünelinde yolculuğa çıkmış gibi hissedeceksiniz. Eski Datça da bulunan kahve Can Yücel'in sağlığında gelip oturduğu halkla sohbet ettiği kahveymiş. Datçaya özgü yöresel ürünler satan dükkanlarda bir çok ürün mevcut. Bu dükkanlardan yörede meşhur olan bademden yapılmış badem kurabiyeleri, badem ezmeleri, bademler, kekik balları, zeytin ve zeytin yağları, bademli gazoz ve daha bir çok ürün satın alabilirsiniz. Eski Datçada şair Can Yücel'in son yıllarını geçirdiği evi de bulunmaktadır. Şimdilerde bu evde eşi yaşamaktadır. Evin kapıları ziyarete açık olmasa da bu evi görmek için gelenler bu kapıda hatıra fotoğrafı çektirebilirler. Datça da meşhur olan lezzetlerden biri de Datça keçi sütlü dondurmasıdır. Bu dondurmalar keçi sütünden yapılmaktadır. Muzlu, incir cevizli, bademli, bal kavunlu, karadutlu, damla sakızlı, çilekli, çikolatalı ve daha bir çok çeşidin bulunduğu topunun 40 tl olduğu Tekin usta dondurmaları Datçaya geldiğinizde tatmanız gereken lezzetlerden.
