Silver Wilkinson (longtail) fly tying demo

The Silver Wilkinson is a 'marmite fly' - you either love or hate it! I am definitely in the former camp and its rarely off my cast. This is a longtail version of the traditional Irish Shrimp version, good alternative for faster flows.

Andrew is a Loop Akademi fly tyer (http://www.looptackle.com/loop-akadem...) and Loop pro team Ireland. He caught the ‘fishing bug’ early and now fishes mainly for Atlantic Salmon across Ireland and further afield, as well as large native ‘dollaghan trout’ in the Feeder Rivers of Lough Neagh. Ever since he caught his first fish on his own fly Andrew has been hooked on fly tying, and enjoys sharing and seeing others experience this first hand.
