Whenever a new Nintendo console is about to come out, the same conversations are had, They got to do a game from this franchise, that franchise. And I always bring up One of Nintendo's most underutilized IPS, (and there are many) the STAR FOX series.

STAR FOX (1993)
Star Fox is a rail shooter in a third-person and first-person 3D perspective. The player must navigate Fox's spacecraft, an Arwing, through environments while various enemies (spaceships, robots, creatures, etc.) attack them.

STAR FOX 2 (1996)
Instead of following mostly linear paths inside predefined missions as in Star Fox, the player moves a team of two ships freely around a map screen that represents the Lylat system. When the player's ships make contact with enemy forces, the game switches to an action perspective, piloting the Arwing ship directly with controls and gameplay similar to the first Star Fox.

STAR FOX 64 (1997)
On Corneria, the scientist Andross is driven to madness and nearly destroys the planet using biological weapons. General Pepper exiles Andross to the remote planet Venom.
