Please Skip the areas that you feel bored, I make videos for my satisfaction and to live the past when I come back here. At times, people feel these emotions help their journey. Hence, more details have been written in the description box down below.

Hello guys, Dr D Dimer here. Very happy to connect with you guys after a long gap. I've had an ambitious dream of becoming a doctor, and still in the QUEST of what specialty I want to choose. It was during my internship that I decided to take PLAB route, but so many things have changed ever since I planned this journey and still continue to evolve. So, if you are the one planning now to go to the UK it surely is not a bad decision, but you need right people and feasible plan in hand, calculating all the factors that will impact your journey.

After my PLAB-1, I spent 3 months solid to plan my trip in the UK, I thrived in extracting information about the places, courses, accommodations, contacts, clinical attachments, and others.

Frist thing is to get a visitor's VISA (you can do it on your own, refer to few youtube videos)
Find your convenient academy to prepare, I am very sure it's not useful that you have to spend extra for MOshobby mocks or Dr Lovaan videos or anyone else, unless you are confident about your academy.
Book the accomodations, find friends from common whatsapp groups.
Plan your budget, on average the cost in the UK would anywhere between 80k-100k INR.
Then start preparing once you set your plan with clarity.

1st 2 months I prepared for the PLAB-2 exam!
Focus on topics like COUNSELLING, ETHICS, OBG, PEDIA, PSYCHIATRY, DERMATOLOGY, COMBINED STATIONS, SIMMANS, PRESCRIPTION (Subscribe to DR E material via whatsapp group).
Practice with empathy and kindness, don't be a judgmental doctor.
Practice as much as you can, unless you feel you are good with it.

If you are done with the EXAM, or even before the exam, book your ALS as it has been done by everyone and asked as an essential skill in every job. So, ALS can be done in the UK, INDIA OR SRI LANKA, this depends on your flexibility and budget. Go to the resus council UK https://www.resus.org.uk/training-cou... website and check for the details.

I finished it back-to-back with a tight schedule. which many does it the same way.

CLINICAL ATTACHEMENTS,
I had doubts what to choose as a specialty, hence I tried finding attachments both in surgery and in medicine and very fortunate to get it for free of cost.
1. Birmingham Children Hospital, pediatric plastic surgery department. I went for a month and learned a lot of things about the NHS, but utilized the time by doing a research work, and presenting it in the local meeting.

2. Queen Alexandra Portsmouth Hospital. One other month there as General Medicine attachee, where I enjoyed the whole medicine part and figured I wanted to medicine for life. PHU was a great hospital with all DESI people and working with them had lots of impact in my journey. Starting with the volunteering work for MRCP-PACES exam, attending meetings, teachings sessions and doing multiple audits. The consultants were happy and encouraged me to keep up the good work. Thanks to my SPSS analysis and PPT skills. They encouraged me to apply for jobs soon it is available.

Now, it's time to apply for jobs which is overwhelming as I joined back my previous job in the ICCU. It's very busy!!!!!!!

So, guys pray for me, soon I will update my plans and achievements. Let's travel together and you guys will see me as a consultant one day.
