Roof Chimney leaking in attic

Roof leaking into attic area causing ceiling damage. The roof was too snow covered to look up on the roof, but looking in the attic it appears the chimney was leaking because the shingles were not tucked under the chimney flashing. It was allowing the rainwater to run under the shingles rotting out the roof deck and dripping into the ceiling. The shingles need to be removed in this area replace the rotten wood to dry the roof deck in and reshingle. It would also be a good time to remove that style chimney and install a B- vent fluepipe.
