The Band of the Grenadier Guards - Belgian Cenotaph Parade 2024

The Band of the Grenadier Guards supporting the Belgian Cenotaph Parade 2024 held on Whitehall in London on Saturday 13th July in the presence of His Majesty the King of the Belgians and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.

The band was led on parade by Senior Drum Major Household Division WO2 Chambers MVO and under the direction of the band's Director of Music Captain Smith.

The parade is an annual event for the last 90 years since King George V decided to honour all Belgian war veterans with a uniformed and armed parade in Central London after the death of King Albert of the Belgians in 1934 who was Colonel in Chief of the 5th Inniskilling Dragoon Guards.

On parade were detachments from The Belgian Royal Military Academy, The Belgian Royal Military School of Non Commissioned Officers and representatives from the Royal Belgian Navy and Air Cadets.
