No Image / Black Screen on PS4 | Reset the Video Resolution

If your PlayStation 4 all of a sudden is not displaying any image at all or just a black screen and together with a message saying "Check Cables", "No Input" etc. this can be due to a number of things.

One of the most common reasons is though that something has gone haywire with the output resolution of the PlayStation and the perceived one of your TV or monitor. Making the TV simply not understanding what´s going on. Resulting in a black screen.

Luckily the PlayStation 4 has a built in function to reset the video resolution outside of the actual operating system. A function called Safe Mode. This video showcases how to enter that function and to change the video resolution to what it should be. Something that will hopefully solve your black screen issues.

This works and all PlayStation 4 consoles:
