Sam Hiner is a student entrepreneur and youth advocate. He is co-founder and Executive Director at Young People’s Alliance, a youth movement focused on student-led advocacy, working to mobilize young people to achieve electoral and policy outcomes. Sam has advocated for youth issues on Capitol Hill, at the North Carolina legislature, and across 11 college campuses. His work writing novel data privacy legislation addressing manipulative social media algorithms led to advocacy that resulted in the bill’s unanimous passage in the House Judiciary Committee. Sam has been featured in leading publications like Washington Post and PEOPLE Magazine.
