“Robin’s experience as a GP counters the traditional media narrative. She shares her ideas on how to save the NHS”.

The NHS has a critical shortage of staff and funding. The political and media discourse would have us believe that these pressures are the inevitable result of our growing, aging population. In fact, our individual lifestyle choices are playing a significant and unacknowledged role in the decline of our health system. Dr Robin Fawcett is an American GP practicing in the NHS. She has an MD from Duke University in the United States and an MA in History of Medicine from University College London. Her clinical interests are preventative and integrative medicine and child wellbeing. Dr Fawcett lives in southwest London with her husband and two sons. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
