Our Search to Find the Iconic Photo Spot of St. Magdalena Church Against the Odle Mountain Range

Today is our last day in Italy, so we chose to go somewhere we've never been before. It's called Val di Funes, and it is a valley deep in the heart of Italy's South Tyrol.

Going to the photo spot in front of the church is a little bit tricky as the trail markers aren't super helpful. From the small parking lot, you have to hike up the hill to get to the church. This photo spot offers a better view of the Odle mountain range. Then, we hiked up another 15 minutes to the iconic viewpoint of St. Magdalena Church against the Odle mountain range. It would have been difficult to find had we not seen a few groups of other tourists at that location. We just started hiking towards them. We hung out up here, took some lovely family shots, and enjoyed the scenery.
