In this edition of Tarikh, Nikhil narrates the Story of Rani Durgaavti. Rani Durgavati was born on 5th October 1524 in the family of famous Chandel emperor Keerat Rai. She was born at the fort of Kalanjar.  In 1542 she was married to Dalpat shah, the eldest son of king Sangram shah of Gond Dynasty. After death of Dalgat Shah Durgavati reigned as Queen of garha Mandal and fought against Baz Bahadur in 1556. When Akbar Captured the Malwa region in 1662 , he sent Asaf khan to take over Gondwana region. During this battle Rani Durgaavti died. Watch Complete Video to know more
