Nelson Pass è uno tra i più geniali progettisti viventi. Oltre a una nutrita produzione di elettroniche a suo nome, ha sempre tenuto molto vivo il canale DIY, con un sito fondato addirittura poco dopo la nascita del web dove ha sempre pubblicato articoli e kit molto interessanti. Il progetto Aleph nasce da due modelli di finali in classe A degli anni '90 che ebbero un certo successo, si chiamavano Aleph 3 e Aleph 5 (rispettivamente 30 e 50 W su 8 ohm). Dopo qualche anno Pass pubblicò gli schemi liberi da diritti intellettuali, e per questo motivo sono divenuti tra i più clonati amplificatori in assoluto. Su Aliexpress si trovano tante versioni di questo progetto, oltre a molta letteratura in rete. Il progetto del finale che Gia ha realizzato, nasce dall'utilizzo di 4 kit a basso costo di Aleph 3, che poi per esigenze varie sono diventati quasi degli Aleph 5, adottando 6 Mosfet invece di 4, ma ad una tensione di alimentazione leggermente inferiore rispetto ad Aleph 5. Il finale è poi dotato di 4 sezioni di amplificazione identiche, in modo da poter utilizzare con diffusori predisposti bi-wiring due sezioni per ogni diffusore. Insomma, una personalizzazione sotto tanti punti di vista, che ha richiesto ben 6 anni di gestazione per un risultato degno di pubblicazione.

Nelson Pass is one of the most ingenious living designers. The power amp is then equipped with 4 identical amplifier sections, so that it is possible to use with speakers set up bi-wiring two sections for each speaker. In short, a customization in so many ways, which took a good 6 years of gestation for a publication-worthy result.
