THE LEGACY OF OUR GREAT GRAND MASTER GU YEE CHEUNG

Описание к видео THE LEGACY OF OUR GREAT GRAND MASTER GU YEE CHEUNG

A piece or treasure for all students, disciples and masters. Excerpts of Grand Master Chan Kwok Wei performing a Yang Tai Chi form practiced by our Great Grand Master Gu Yee Cheung. If you didn't know, Master Gu was a close friend of Master Sun Lu Tan. In this form, you will see many techniques never before seen in Yang Tai Chi. The Sun influence is apparent. Notice the nuances in the footwork (feet are not leaving the ground but rather sliding when transitioning sides) and the many differences from typical Yang style. This is a combat form which explains all the additional techniques usually concealed. ENJOY!

Great praise to Academia Sino-Brazilleira de Kung Fu, Grand Master Chan Kwok Wei and my brother in arms, Master Roberto Baptista.

Sifu Gus Rubio:
My introduction to Grand Master Chan was profound and paramount in my 45 year experience. After re-uniting with my Shaolin Sifu Chin Bak Hey (a.k.a.Cheung Bing Chin)in the 90s, I asked if he would complete my Shaolin training. He said he no longer wanted to teach Shaolin but rather would teach me Fu style Ba Gua and Daoist Hua Shan Chi Gung 108. He further stated that for me to continue in the Shaolin fist, he would refer me to his Master Chan Kwok Wei in Brazil. I WAS FLOORED. Never in my wildest dreams.

Since that referral, I have had the pleasure of meeting the Grand Master and interestingly enough, his aura conveyed an energy of the old past Masters from China. I felt like I was in the room with Grand Master Gu himself.
Enjoy.
