Tip of the Day 7. The importance of the position of the take up lever.

In this video, I show you how and why the position of the take of lover is so important. This is especially important if you’re just reading to Sew. When you’re learning to, so you tend to buy a less expensive machine. This makes sense because you don’t know if you will like Sewing. Simpler, mechanical machines will stop as soon as you take your foot off the paddle on the floor. That means that the needle and the take up lever and all could stop in any position.

Unfortunately, most people look at the position of the needle, and not the take up lever to determine if they can take the fabric away from the machine. If you learn what I teach in this video, it will eliminate 3 to 4 common problems that happen when your first learning to Sew and do not know this. The Sewing Machine manuals do not tell you this.
