Luckey Roberts' dynamic score started life, believe it or not, labelled as a turkey trot. The turkey trot soon faded, but thiis piece lived on, adopted into the Harlem stride style and performed and recorded by many great artists. It still lives on today as a classic. Published by Joseph Stern in New York City in 1913.
