Gendathadye is a famous tulunad special breakfast recipe. It becomes so special because it's cooking method is different from other dishes. It requires fire at both top and bottom, so that it becomes roast at both the sides. It won't requires any side dishes. But a hot tea becomes perfect companion for it. Moving on to the ingredients, it requires only few ingredients such as dosa rice, onions, grated cucumber mainly. Additionally, green chillies, tempering items and oil etc. This dish can also be prepared without cucumber, but you may have to add more onions. If cucumber is added, it becomes flavourful.

Ingredients:

Cucumber 1
Dosa rice 3/4th cup
Greated coconut 1
Salt to taste
Bird eye chilli 10
Coconut oil 10sp
Urad dal 4sp
Mustard seeds 4sp
Dry red chilli 2
Curry leaves
Chopped onions 2
