Dr. Avinash Kumar is a Hindustani Classical Vocalist. He is a disciple of Pandit Tushar Dutta, Pandit Somnath Mardur and Ustad Aftab Ahmed Khan following the Kirana and Rampur Gharana. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Music, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College, University of Delhi.
He is a ‘A’ graded artist of AIR. He has performed on many prestigious stages like Sawai Gandharva Bheemasn Mahotasava 2022, Ustad Abdul Kareem Khan Sangeet Samaroh, Miraj, 2023,2024, Festival of India, Egypt, 2016, Sapt sur festival, Ahmedabad, Ninad Mahotasava, Agra, Sangeet Natak Akademi, Lucknow,etc.
He has received many prestigious awards like Tushar pandit gold medal, V Bani Ram medal, Sangeet Shree Samman, Prabhavati Sangeet Samman to name a few.
