My Favorite Death In The Afternoon Recipe

Today we’re making a Hemingway original, Death in the Afternoon (the drink not the book)! The original specs on this cocktail are a heavy pour of a strong spirit (absinthe) topped off with more alcohol (champagne) - so this one's strong. I'll be making one to Hemingway's specs, but also my favorite version of this drink that's slightly toned-down. I think it'll be a bit more approachable to a wider audience. Don't be fooled, however - this drink's still rather strong. If you plan on sipping these through the afternoon, be sure to clear your schedule!

Just a heads-up, there are two typos in the video regarding the ounce measurements (sorry!). It's specifically for the simple and lemon juice on the second cocktail - the correct measurements are listed below!
