About This Sports Courier Boxing Interview: TSC News TV host Fred Richani interviews entrepreneur turned boxer Paul Bamba about his upcoming U.S. debut at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall, overcoming incredible odds to be a true success story, and giving back to others whenever he can.

Paul Bamba will make his US boxing debut in his upcoming Boardwalk Boxing Match August 20th in Atlantic City, NJ. This fight will come on the heels of his recent NABC title fight last month in Colombia.

The professional boxer is also a multi-faceted entrepreneur. He owns the fitness brand Trifecta Strong and has been building up his portfolio of celebrity clients as a trainer. He’s worked with the likes of Rip Michaels, Jessy Jess of the UFC, hip-hop group Earthgang, and NFL player Bennett Jackson to name a few.

About Paul Bamba
Paul Bamba was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to parents who struggled to raise him. He lived with his birth parents until the age of 3 when he was removed from their care. Following this, Paul was placed in the foster care system, where he underwent constant bullying, harassment, and abuse. By the time Paul was a teen, he had lived in twenty different foster homes until he finally found his family, who today still remain a part of his life.

Despite his childhood being challenging on a social, emotional, and physical level, it made Paul a survivor and a fighter. At his first opportunity to improve his life situation, he enlisted in the Marine Corps at the age of seventeen years old. He served as an infantryman and did multiple combat deployments, spending a portion of his deployments in Iraq. His time in the Marine Corps taught him discipline and perseverance. Following his discharge, he moved to New York City with nothing but a dream. Along his journey, Paul became homeless, sleeping on couches and in subway cars in New York City. While struggling to maintain his physical and mental health, every day he would walk over three miles in each direction to a local boxing gym, where the head trainer eventually took a liking to him. Although his living situation was dire, at the gym he persevered. For him to eat, he sparred boxing rounds, earning $10 for every round he survived.

In the beginning, he had no boxing knowledge and sparred from pure survival. Over time he gained experience and skill which he used to start crafting his boxing fundamentals. Eventually, he realized that he could transfer the information he learned about boxing to others and earn a sustainable living simultaneously. He immediately began to pursue a career in fitness, and cultivated a desire to help people better themselves. Using a combination of all his experiences, in 2018 he founded Trifecta Strong LLC. In addition to his business endeavors, Bamba has continued to nurture his first love – boxing.

Today, Bamba is a devoted athlete committed to spending countless hours perfecting his craft. After becoming a quarterfinalist in the New York Golden Gloves, Bamba began his professional boxing career in late 2020. As of 2022, his current record is 5W-1L-4KO.
