How to: Vintage French Pin-Up

Here's how I created this pin-up style that won curlBOX's (http://curlbox.com) June Instagram contest!

Style Prep:
I began this style with a blow-out. (http://moknowshair.com/howtoblowout)

Products and Tools:
Elasta QP Olive Oil and Mango Butter Moisturizer
Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel
Aveda Firmata Holding Spray
Brush Strokes Soft Boar Bristle Brush
Wide tooth/detangling comb
Rattail Comb
Denman Large Boar Bristle Brush
Large and/or small bob pins

You can use any combination of flexible hold butter/pudding/moisturizer and gel. Just make sure the two products will "play nice" together to avoid sticky or tacky product build-up.

Total Time:
Total time to create this updo is about ten minutes.

Keep and Care:
To preserve this style beyond one day, you can wrap your hair in a silk or satin scarf and cover with a satin bonnet.
