Twisted Mohawk: How To Protective Style

Here's how I created this fun, twisted version of the classic mohawk!

Style Prep:
I began this style with a blow-out (http://moknowshair.com/howtoblowout).

Products and Tools:
Elasta QP Olive Oil and Mango Butter Moisturizer
Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel
Brush Strokes Soft Boar Bristle Brush
Wide tooth/detangling comb
Rattail Comb
Denman Large Boar Bristle Brush
Large and/or small bob pins
Fabric wrapped ponytail holder

Note: You can use any combination of flexible hold butter/pudding/moisturizer and gel. Just make sure the two products will "play nice" together to avoid sticky or tacky product build-up.

Total Time:
Total time to create this updo is about seven minutes.

Keep and Care:
To preserve this style beyond one day, you can wrap your hair in a silk or satin scarf and cover with a satin bonnet.
