How To Make a Water Rocket Nose Cone Yielding Gentle Recovery

This brief 4 minute video covers the 3 steps for gentle recovery of your water rocket:
1. Launch and land on soft grass
2. Use only 1 cup of water with a StratoLauncher IV
3. Employ a fall away nose cone
Detailed instructions on how to construct a fall away nosecone from a 2-liter soda bottle, along with adding weight to aid in deploying at apogee. A fall away nosecone yields a gentle recovery! Optional: add a pool noodle disk as a spring to aid falling off.

Disclaimer: Strong wind or angled trajectory will prevent the nose cone from falling off.
