How to sing higher with more resonance - forward placement

Описание к видео How to sing higher with more resonance - forward placement

From an ‘ng’ sound to an open vowel sound
First, find your ‘ng’ placement.
Back of your tongue and your soft palate come together. Say the word ‘Singing’
The ng at the end of that word (a digraph) sends the resonance into the ‘mask area of your head and face, releasing tension in the throat area (your Larynx)

You’re trying to create an effortless placement for the sound in and around your nasal cavity and mask area, giving you more forward placement and resonance.

Exercise:

On an ng sound sing up a scale to the fifth starting on a comfortable note and down to the tonic. Make sure that the tone and dynamic is constant all the way up to the last note.

Sing it again, but this time release on your top note into an open sound on an ‘Ah’ vowel. Make sure that you’re again open and relaxed in the throat ad that your sound is supported.

Try the exercise on different vowel sounds and gradually get higher in pitch (in semitones)

Keep the ng placement light and supported. This will keep the vocal folds thin and allow the resonance and energy to transfer from your chest into you head register.
