In this video I explain how Background Mode 1 Graphics Tiles are constructed and how to organise the palettes for the 3 background layer's that it has. I also provide a demo game at the end, with the full soucecode, so you can use it as a quick template for your own Mode 1 projects. If you would like to quickly test out the demo with sound, you can find my current work in progress, version on Itch.io. Which will hopefully become a new SNES game in the future.

If you would like to create 4 colour tiles, I suggest you check out my gameboy video on creating graphics. The tile converter can be used for 4 colour tiles, for Mode 0 or for the 4 colour tiles in Mode 1, use by Background Layer 3.
