We asked each performer to write a few words about themselves and their instrument.

Marie writes: "I'm Marie Nezdařilová, 18 years old, from Czech republic. I'm studying at Janáček conservatory Ostrava. My recorder is made by Pavel Číp, czech instrument maker, it's a 415 alto."

Klēra writes: "Klēra Kuļikauska, 17 years old, from Riga, Latvia. Studying 2. year in Jazeps Medins Riga Secondary school of music. My teacher is Ilona Meija. I play on an Altus Azumi flute"

Kira writes: "I’m 23 and studying MA Music Performance at Bath Spa University, with Rebecca Prosser as my teacher. The instrument is a Takeyama alto at A=415 in stained boxwood, it has a wonderfully rich sound, even in the top range, and the projection is amazing! "
