सियाचिन में सेना के टेंट में आग लगने से 19 जुलाई 2023 को शहीद हुए देवरिया के कैप्टन अंशुमान के परिवार को आर्मी ग्रुप इंश्योरेंस फंड से 1 करोड़ रुपए दिए गए. यह रकम अंशुमान के पेरेंट्स और उनकी पत्नी में आधी-आधी बांटी गई. इसके अलावा UP सरकार ने भी परिवार को 50 लाख रुपए दिए थे. इसमें से 15 लाख माता-पिता और 35 लाख रुपए पत्नी स्मृति को दिए गए थे.इसके बावजूद शहीद के पेरेंट्स ने कहा था कि वित्तीय सहायता के नियमों में बदलाव होना चाहिए. अब आर्मी बोली- पेंशन पत्नी को मिलेगी, माता-पिता को नहीं.

This amount was divided equally between Anshuman's parents and his wife. Apart from this, the UP government also gave Rs 50 lakh to the family. Out of this, Rs 15 lakh was given to the parents and Rs 35 lakh to wife Smriti. Despite this, the martyr's parents had said that the rules for financial assistance should be changed. Now the Army said - the pension will be given to the wife, not the parents.
