http://www.crosstrainingenduro.com http://tractionerag.com How to get your dirt bike down near vertical drop offs, descents or downhills. More hard enduro training with how to get down those impossible slopes. The best hard enduro riders will ride down almost anything. But we dirt muppets need to have some alternatives. How to ride over short drop offs? Quite easy for extreme enduro training. Whether it's EVS pretending their knee guards are knee braces, strap brackets rusting on Airoh, Leatt and Suomy helmets, lack of quality control on Sidi Crossfire boots. And our bike reviews will actively look for known issues and problems, not just the usual positive blurb. Just position your body to the rear. If possible don't straighten your arms completely, you still want some steering. The next option for short drop offs? Just jump off it. Do a small wheelie just before the edge, but try not to pick up too much speed. If it's beyond your skill level, the next option is bull dogging. Too steep for bull dogging? You can simply slide the bike down.He really takes his time, and as a result it's a text book approach. He lines his wheels up. Eases the rear wheel down. You can see the footpeg digs in this time and holds the bike. This gives him time to reposition himself and keep control over the bike for most of the descent. If you have very good friends, you can ask them to catch you. So we actively avoid sponsorship. Running ads on our vids. It also means we can do no crap reviews. Carefully position the bike near the edge. Lift or push the rear wheel down first. So how do we keep this leaky ship afloat without sponsorship, kickbacks, or ads? 0.03% of my Youtube subscribers have become supporters. So for about a dollar a week they get a tediously long supporters vid every week. And lifetime supporters get over 300 of these extra shitty vids sent out. This just manages to pay the bills, and occasionally when there's some extra left over it buys a house for Cambodian family living in poverty. This very cool charity is run by dirt riders, check it out. What else? We ride in Australia, Canada, and Romania. We have joined forces with Traction eRag, the world's shittiest online dirt magazine. So I hope you enjoy the channel guys. And if you don't we have a complaints department too. Tackling any sort of steep descent can be a real mind game. My suggestion? Try to stay within your comfort zone. Hopefully the footpeg will drag in the dirt and let you ease the bike down. It doesn't in this case, but the bike still lands safely in this hard enduro training. If you get this right, the only parts of your bike that get scratched are your handguards and the footpegs. Why does the rear wheel go first? If you front wheel first, the bike usually goes out of control as the handlebars turn in extreme enduro training. Extreme enduro has taken off internationally the past few years, in part due to the fascination we have with the incredible bike control the top extreme enduro riders have. And you might break, or least scratch your front fender on the way down. And maybe wind up upside down. Of course this is only a two metre drop. If it was any higher, or more vertical, you would also want to tie a rope to your handlebars to keep control over the bike's descent. Why are called cross training? We have a focus on hard enduro, and most of the pro riders are former trials champions. So we apply trials techniques to enduro techniques, with coaching tips from some of Australasia's best riders: Lets see how Jeff goes. Manufacturers make some really bad mistakes. and there is a lot of dodgy shit being sold out there. Instead of glowing reviews for kickbacks or free product, we will try to keep the bastards honest. Try singing that Nick Cave song, "Into my arms". Very romantic. I am still recovering from a spine fracture, so I get Jeff to take my bike down as well for our hard enduro training. I should mention one of our local guys in an expert hard enduro rider and he simply jumps his bike off the edge and somehow lands safely in this narrow gully. Crazy skills. Other hard enduro training vids? How to ride steep descents & downhill, How to walk a bike downhill and How to ride drop offs. Techniques like bull dogging or sliding your bike down are much safer in extreme enduro training, until you feel ready to try crazy steep stuff.
