The Universal Thirst Gazette: A Typographic Archive and Journal | BITS10

The Universal Thirst Gazette is an ever-growing typographic resource for anyone interested in type design, and particularly Indic type. Despite billions of people using Indic scripts, and speaking the languages they represent, information about them can be challenging to access and understand. The Universal Thirst Gazette aims to encourage active discussion and interest in type, in particular Indic type, providing resources for designers, researchers and students to learn more. It is an online resource which enables easy accessibility and publishes essays, interviews and snippets from our archives. These are the result of years of research and collection - with the aim of sharing knowledge and understanding. Universal Thirst’s Salomi Desai will speak about the idea that drove the creation of this resource, the process and curation involved in planning and setting it up, and the vision that the team has in taking it forward.

➜ BITS10 is an academic symposium centered on typography, graphic design, and branding. Participants will have the opportunity to explore, discuss, exchange ideas, and share insights into a variety of subjects, from design trends to corporate breakthroughs. This will take place through more than 20+ sessions of group discussions and conferences, featuring over 30+ expert speakers from around the world. The event's goal is to disseminate knowledge and inspire creative thinking over the course of 3 days!
