Join Cornell Engineer's structural engineers for a learning session on #Brickwork #Articulation #Joints.
An articulation joint in a brick wall is a gap between panels of brickwork so that the bricks can expand and contract with changes in temperature also also for the ground to move a little bit without cracking the brickwork. Often shortened to the abbreviation #BCJ, brickwork control joints are an important aspect of a well-built brick wall.
This video is mainly for structural engineers but it is equally valuable for builders, certifiers, inspectors and homeowners.
