6.2 Calorimetry | High School Chemistry

Описание к видео 6.2 Calorimetry | High School Chemistry

Chad provides a comprehensive lesson on calorimetry. He begins by discussing how a bomb calorimeter can be used to measure the heat of a reaction which is calculated from its heat capacity and temperature change. He then introduces the specific heat of a substance and how the heat added to or removed from a substance is related to its mass, specific heat, and temperature change. He then shows a heating curve for water and shows how to calculate the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of water including when passing through a phase change.
