Chevron Smile Line Edge Nail design Tutorial

Hiya duck in today’s video we are going to be doing an Edge Nail and a Chevron smile line on Andrea! Let’s get cracking!

When creating an Edge nail the form is one of the most important parts of the process so I'll start this one by getting my nail form perfect before moving on I'll create a fold through the center of the nail, now ill remove the form from the backing paper ill remove the sticky tab and ill place that on the underside mirroring the section from witch it was removed then I can cut the wings to fit the client ill cut a small triangle where the form meets the free edge of the natural nail and fit the form.

Now I can prime the natural nail and then I'll bridge the gap between the nail form and the natural nail using the In The Buff acrylic powder and the Oscar the Wild brush then ill place another thin bead of in the Buff at the cuticle area and when that’s had a moment to set ill apply the pinching tool, next ill switch products to the Acrygel system I'm using peaches and cream, and next place a bead of acrygel at the cuticle area I'll take my make and scrape brush and I'll decant some clean-up solution into a dappen dish and I'll use that to create my Chevron smile line and I'll give that a cure.

Next up, I'll remove the sticky layer from the acrygel using the clean-up solution on a lint, free wipe then I can file that into a nice sharp point using a hand file I'll clean over the nail again, and now I'll apply my onyx ink to the wall of that smile line, now I'll use my jelly, topcoat, Lez and Luna, ill cure that then I can apply the base coat and I'll put my gold leaf into that next step, I'll take the clear acrygel I'll apply a bead of that to the nail using a spatula, and then I can use that to cap the design into the nail. Now I can remove the form from the nail and file this into shape and then give that a buff then I can seal the design in with Topcoat cure that and finish with a splash of cuticle oil and that's it.
