I look at more detail in terms of the image quality on the Minolta 80-200mm F2.8 HS APO G lens. I did a lens test video some time ago, but wanted to show some actual use of the lens, how it fares and if there are any notable areas to look out for.
I did note some purple fringing in the original test, and there are also some instances of LOCA too (though far milder then the Beercan/70-210mm F4)

I provide a commentary on my experience using the Minolta lens, and how I feel about it, and some of my thoughts using it.
This is a popular lens still for those looking to adapt lenses to E mount or other platforms, as F2.8 models are very expensive these days. It's still a solid budget option, with mostly excellent optics and rugged metal build.
