An overnight tramp to Cascade Hut in Kaimanawa Forest Park with a spot of bush hunting. I walk the Hinemaia Track from Clements Mill Road and have a good night to myself at the hut. Overnight rain clears to a beautiful second day where I enjoy a morning stalk with an animal heard but not seen, before heading out.
