Navneet Aditya Waiba LIVE- Phariya Lyaaidiyechan

Описание к видео Navneet Aditya Waiba LIVE- Phariya Lyaaidiyechan

Phariya Lyaaidiyechan is steeped deeply in the rich tradition and history of the Nepali People. The song tells of times when wives could not address their husbands directly.
It is about the ingenuity of a fashionable young woman who teasingly voices her dissatisfaction with the red (rato) phariya her husband has gifted her, through this song. She is especially displeased with the Rato Phariya, woven of stinging nettles (sisnu) called ghanana. She goes on to drop hints of the prized gifts she would have gathered for herself from various parts of Nepal and India.
The song documents in its delicate lyrics the art and craft of these places.
This video was shot on 3rd November in Patan Museum, Kathmandu during our Album Launch with the Nepali Folk band Kutumba.
