Facts about NEW GENERATION SKI & SNOWBOARD SCHOOL, AVORIAZ
There are 7 instructors working in the 22/23 season going up to around 15 during the holidays. Through the ski school, instructors get season lift passes at a (super!) discounted price and thanks to the partnership with Ellis Brigham (SHOP), they have access to a full range of ski products (including uniform and North Face gear!) at discount sometimes higher than 50%. The professional liability insurance is organised by the ski school and the full-time members of the team can expect to deliver around 500 - 600 hours of lessons in the season (depending on how much time off they would like to have). The team is fully supported by two New Generation offices, in the UK and in France which communicate with all the guests from the booking to their arrival in the resort so that the instructors have no worries about the organization of their classes and just need to worry about delivering some amazing experiences on the snow.

Facts about AVORIAZ/ MORZINE AREA
Bars, restaurants, apres ski
"Instructors are always welcome in Changabang, Avoriaz for the morning coffee, break time and after-work beer and we are grateful to Niko that we can leave our backpacks there while we are working," says Meta and other instructors seem to agree.
Changabang is located at the top of the Prodains express gondola on Avoriaz.
The famous apres ski point in Avoriaz is La Folie Douce where they organize themed parties with DJs and entertainers. It is located in the town, on top of the Dromonts button lifts.
Happy hours apres ski bar at the bottom of Ardent gondola (also a free car park) is where most seasonaires go for a great party if there’s some energy left at the end of the day.

Living costs
Food, fuel and other goods are cheaper in the closest bigger towns (Les Cluses & Thonon Les Bains).
In this video, Meta went grocery shopping at Carrefour in Morzine. The basic shopping cart continues throughout the “Life of a ski instructor” series and it consists of 1 red pepper, 1 zucchini, 500g of chicken breast, 6 eggs, 500g tomato sauce, 500g rice, 300g can of corn, and 1 baguette (french bread). The total price was 16,58€.
Accommodation
Instructors are expected to find accommodation for the season and the ski school is happy to provide all the support an instructor needs. You can expect to pay from three to five thousand euros per season for the rent - depending if it’s a shared accommodation or a private one and on the location. Most of the instructors find their winter home in Morzine and neighbouring villages (Montriond, St. Jean du Alps, Les Gets, Cote d'Abroz) and use their cars or buses to get around the valley.
