Solo birding trip to St Lucia - Ep 4: Morning drive to Cape Vidal - Paradise found!

Hi guys
So I finally made a trip down to St Lucia in Northern KZN after making initial enquiries in June last year. I had one goal in mind - get the last Kingfisher I needed to complete the Southern African Kingfisher list, the Mangrove Kingfisher.
After 2 great days birding and a few car troubles it was time to head back to Joburg on the Sunday. But I decided to squeeze in a quick morning drive in the Eastern Shores section of the Isimangaliso Park and drive up to Cape Vidal. I was trying to add a few last minute birds to my list and saw a cuckoo hawk that will need a confirmation sighting before being counted as well as confirmed the Livingston's Turaco. I checked the pan that the rufous breasted heron had been sighted at and it eluded me for the second time.
Otherwise I saw buffalo, zebra, kuda and a few red duiker. Losing the photos of the trip also meant losing the photos of the game on my drive. There are elephants and leopards in the section of the park as well but I only saw elephant spore close to the Cape Vidal camp sight.
However what I did discover is one of the most pristine beaches I have ever seen in my life! This is definitely a destination I want to check out for a longer period of time and I may even go back this summer!
